Soak In The Sun At Wild Waters In Boksburg
Wild Waters did not get its name by accident as Boksburg is situated far from the sea. At Wild Waters, the children can run wild, the water has big waves and this family picnic fun park is wildly popular. Families picnic at the park all year round and they swim in the pools when the weather is good. There is a 500 metre supertube, wave pool, raging rapids ride (with tubes), kamakazi ride (boards are used with the bodies) and speedhump slide to keep children entertained for hours. Parents can lounge at various picnic sites and either light a fire for a braai, buy take aways or unpack the picnic basket while the kids work up an appetite.
Twice a year, the older kids who have turned 18 can attend H2O, South Africa�s biggest outdoor party organised by Big Brother Productions. Sutra nightclub is also a popular spot among party goers and Wild Waters becomes wilder as the day progresses. For corporate functions, there are business party facilities, locker rooms and catering options for team building and it is an ideal unwinding venue. Boksburg is a suburb situated on the East Rand of Gauteng which was originally laid out in 1887 to serve the surrounding gold mines, but now it is a diverse town. Named after the State Secretary of the South African Republic, Eduard Bok, Wild Waters is named after the pools that are filled with kids in the South African summer.
