5 Day Budget Kruger Safari at Private Game Lodge (VSO3) Reviews

Food was amazing, lodging very nice but simple, you don't need more.
Daily activities very organized, I would add more morning walking activities since you are most of the time in the car.
Guides are very friendly and helpful. Thank you for lovely holiday.

While our overall experience with VIVA Safaris and the Tremisana Lodge was good, there clearly were significant problems with organization that detracted from the experience. Staff were confused about our package, our room arrangements, and our activities each day. Two of the guides we had -- Brett and Bongani -- were excellent. Others were simply OK and this affected our viewing opportunities at Kruger. However, we did see quite a few animals at the game reserve and Kruger. If VIVA Safaris can resolve some of their organizational and communication problems, guests' experience will be greatly enhanced.

This was the best honeymoon ever, we got to see all the things we went there for. Game drives where very fun but at the same time we learnt about other stuff that I never knew. The people and food where fantastic, to tell the truth I have no complaints, all I have to say is I hope they keep doing this as I will be back and hope anyone reading this agree's with it to as I am from South Africa but live in England, this was awesome thank you again.

We decided to go with a "package" versus driving Kruger ourselves and chose this because of the wide array of activities and locations (not just Kruger but the other private reserves). The package approach was the right way to go. The guides were extremely friendly and knowledgeable - they were able to spot animals that most people would miss, and we were able to do game walks, night drives and the regular game drives. 5 days (including the drive to and from Jo-burg) was the perfect amount of time and I would recommend this to anyone wanting to get a genuine South Africa safari expierience.

Really enjoyed our stay. Mark and Bungani are fantastic and knowledgeable guides as well as being great fun. May try Marks Tree House next time.

very interesting, saw a lot of animals, knew a lot more about animals, good accommodation, nice company I was travelling by my one and felt always very well accompanied

The tour started off a little bit disorganized. I did not receive a receipt for the tour nor was contacted with information about how and when to meet the tour until calling (twice) the day before my trip. The guides who picked us up did not know how to find some of the hotels or have any telephone number to call to ask the travelers to come down to the bus.

That being said, the rest of the tour was lovely. I loved the tour guides and accommodations. I had a great time and appreciated the flexibility. Thanks!
