3 Day Budget Kruger Safari at Private Game Lodge (VO4) Reviews

Undersold all the way-an amazing experience!!
The service, food, staff and facilities were all amazing and cant believe came at such amazing price. Even when we extended our stay, Pretty and the team couldnt be more accommodating. The website and advertising sites doesnt sell it well enough, this place is an utter gem! Great work guys

I had a great time
VS04 Budget Safari excellent value. Only game missed White Rhino, Cheeta & Leopard so delighted with safari. Niggly detail, it is a veeery looooong hiiiike from Joburg to Kruger-and back! A warning might be helpful.

The couriers were brilliant, I had a great time...

Thank You!

Woaw !
Sincerely, the trip we had in Kruger Park was full of discoveries. The thing is that we weren't well informed about the sequence of events : we thought that we had at least 4 x 3 hours of visits and it was less on a 3-days reservation because the trip from and to Johannesburg was quite long.
But except that, all the staff was very friendly and pleasant. At the hotel, the food was very good and we had different menus each day. Also, for the marc's tree house lodge, you should not be scared by spiders because there are some around the tree houses (but not inside of course) and the houses themselves are clean and original.

Getting there was the only battle
I went with a couple friends b/c we only had a few days and really wanted to be able to see Kruger.

The actual game park and accomodations (Marc's Treehouse) were fantastic. While not very talkative, they made it a point to make sure we saw all of the animals and also tried to provide interesting tidbits along the way.

However, the ride to and from the game reserve will definitely take longer than the advertised 5 hours. It took us 9 hours to get there and 11 hours to get back.

I still think it was worth it and would definitely recommend the trip.

Treetop lodge
Really enjoyed the Kruger day trip and got to see the big five. However the full three days felt really rushed and we never got to swim in the pool or even relax with a couple of drinks. I would have loved the opportunity to unwind before dinner after Kruger game drive. There were a few mix ups and it felt as though staff were unsure of our bookings etc. having said that the rangers were knowledgeable and I learned a great deal.

Experience of a life time
Myself and my friend arrived at Marcs Treehouse on 14/11/11 and stayed for 2 nights. It was definately a trip of a lifetime. The treehouse was very clean, but a very stange experience if you havent camped or stayed in accommodation like this before.
The staff were absolutely amazing, very friendly, a credit to Marcs Treehouse Camp.
Would definately reccommend this to anyone seeking an adventurous few day :)

Friendly and Cost Effective
I stayed at the Kruger Safari at Private Game Lodge in September 2011 and had a wonderful time. The staff were friendly and helpful, the rustic accomodations added to the experience of being in a real safari. Kruger Park is wonderful and magical place. I would recommend doing this tour package to friend.

food was disappointing
If you think you will be staying in a tree, think again, not all are in a tree. We were very forntune to get one, but our friends didnt. Guide was very informative and answered all questions. We did see all animals and guide stayed in a good position for all of us to take pictures. Back at the camp the hosts and staff were very kind and helpful. Food was not as described. No hot breakfast on our departure for a 7 hour trip back. Over all the quality of the food was poor for the price we paid. We lost time because our exchange driver did not know where he was dropping us off at our final destination.

short and sweet
I can thoroughly recommend this 3 day safari. It is exceptional value for money and definitely not bottom of the pile "budget". Booking via Accom Direct was efficient. The accommodation at Marcs was terrific, but most of the "tree houses" were just houses in the trees....somewhat secluded but as described in the various literature. All the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, the park guides very knowledgeable and helpful also. However 3 days is really just a taster as it only provides for 1 day in the park. Didnt see any "cats" but others who had been there for 4 days had a similar experience. Plenty of other wildlife to experience. This was a small group experience so it was easy to get to know the other visitors.

Amazing Time
We had an amazing time at Kruger Park when we saw the lions, giraffes, elephants, and all other animals... The tour was an amazing experience. The hospitable staff made it feel really nice. However we had problems with the tree houses. The first house they provided us had dirty linen (plots of pee in the linen made us ask for another room. ) As there were holes in the floor and walls of our tree house we saw many mice, a snake and it felt really uncomfortable. it was very hard for my fiancee to sleep under these conditions.

4 sisters together
Toulie was a really great guide. We saw all big 5 animals before noon on one day. Amazing! Really liked the rusticness of Marc's Treehouses. Great crowd of like-minded youngish folk from around the world. The mosquito nets didn't quite fit the beds, and had rips in them, but otherwise everything met our expectations. Wish we had done 4 days.
