The Capital House

Capital House is located in the diplomatic enclave of Pretoria, the capital city of South Africa. This area is considered to be the safest and most beautiful residential area in the city. We are close to the two major retail shopping malls and even closer to small shops, restaurants and golf courses. This elegant establishment was one of the first guest houses in Pretoria. Over the years it has been selected by heads of state, diplomats and business men as their residence of choice in South Africa. In 1997, the owners left South Africa to go overseas; for the next nine years, the guest house became the home to three successive Ambassadors from Ireland to the Republic of South Africa. It remained the Irish Ambassador’s residence until February, of 2006 when the owners returned to Pretoria.

After returning, they updated the rooms and installed all the latest technology for your comfort and convenience. Our very luxurious residence has all the grace and style of a grand, but unpretentious manor home or inn. It has every modern amenity one could hope for. As the house was built as a private home, there are a variety of sizes and shapes to both the guest rooms and relaxation areas. The exterior has an exquisite private swimming pool. It is long enough to do laps for the health conscious or quiet enough to just relax on deck chairs with a cocktail.
