The reserve surrounding the lodge is a home to the abundant variety of wildlife, bird life and flora that inhabit the province. It offers its guests a true African experience with its bush veld themed architecture.

Accommodation at the Thandeka Lodge consists of:

6 exquisite tented suites that are tucked away in a secluded bush, for maximum privacy. Each tent also comes with its own personal viewing deck. Suites are available for couples or families with a choice of a 2 bed roomed family tent or a 1 bed roomed tent, and are spacious, airy and very comfortable. Each room comes equipped with stone baths and basins, showers and bar facilities. Guests dine at the gorgeous main lodge building which also has a beautiful lounge and a conference room. 3 full meals per day are provided for guests, with the option of any meal being served in your tent. The cuisine at the Thandeka Lodge is of the utmost quality and is absolutely delectable. You can also sip on a delicious refreshing cocktail at the edge of the sparkling pool that is available for guests to relax at while they take in the breathtaking scenery that surrounds them.

A variety of activities are available to guests staying at the lodge. These include sunrise and sunset game drives, guided bush walks, bird watching, golfing facilities and a near by horseback riding facility and cheetah sanctuary. There are also a number of activities designed especially to keep children occupied. Thandeka also hosts conferences, weddings, honeymoon and other special occasions.
