We had booked a 6 sleeper cottage (D6) from 19th March and checked out on 22nd March.
The first night (Friday) was terrible due to very noisy neighbours (about 10 guys).
They were drinking from the afternoon and well into the early hours of the morning.
I tried calling the office number only to leave a message onto a diverted cell phone. I did this twice.
There were no security guards in site to control the loud hi-fi noise, abusive language, etc.
Finally, my family and I got to sleep after I confronted them and informed them about the rules of the resort.
On Saturday, these boys were not as noisy because they knew that they could be asked to leave without a refund.
I had informed Lizzy about the noise on Friday afternoon and again on Saturday.
I actually wanted a refund for the Friday night as it seems that I had to pay for my family and I to have a terrible nights’ sleep.
Apart from that incident, I really did enjoy my Sunday at your place.
It was only then that I began to appreciate the beauty and peacefulness of the resort.
Even the green waters of the large hot pool was relaxing.
Unfortunately, Monday morning came too soon and we had to check out.
I will definitely recommend this resort to other people.
But please, make sure that the people adhere to the rules and also that there is someone who answers the phone at all hours...it can be any emergency.
I do wish to return to Bela Bela lodge sometime again. It is not too far off from my home (Pretoria).
