African Roots B&B

Situated in a tranquil setting, the African Roots Guest House is located near the city centre, hospitals and restaurants. This fabulous guesthouse was originally a farmhouse built in 1928. All the original oregon pine floors and steel pressed ceilings have been retained, however the architecture has pleasantly been adapted to give it a more contemporary style.

African Roots Guest House consists of gorgeous units with individual entrances out onto the pool and garden. The suites have a fireplace, lounge, TV, DSTV, MNet, coffee/tea making facilities and a mini bar. These suites have been stylishly furnished with contemporary furniture, local artwork and a range of spectacular antiques.

A delicious full English Breakfast will be served each day on request, accompanied with cereal, yogurt and fresh seasonal fruit. This will be served outside on one of the lovely porches or next to the fabulous Koi pond in the garden, weather permitting, or else in the dining room. Lunch can arranged for guests on request or lunch boxes as well as dinner.

There is a tourism information desk for the area and many great activities. The Cricket Grounds are only 3 kilometers from the guest house bringing you plenty of great sports. Mapungubwe National Park is a 2 hour drive, but well worth it and the Meropa Casino is a mere 5 minute drive. Other interesting places includes the Kruger national Park, Haenertsberg, Waterberg Mountains, Mashamba Potters, Magoebaskloof Tea Estates and the Polokwane Airport.
