Nkonka Bush Lodge

Nestled under the shade of the bushveld, broad leaved trees, the 4 star Nkonka Bush Lodge, provides guests with an escape to enjoy the true beauty of nature surrounding them.

Situated in the beautiful, malaria free Waterberg, just 3 hours north of Johannesburg in the Limpopo Province, it's an invitation to a tranquil bushveld getaway.

Having a maximum number of 10 guests, it creates a small intimate camp, where guests can enjoy the true beauty of nature as if they were on their own.

The large wild fig tree welcomes you into the camp, where the 4 chalets encircle the well keep lawns and gardens, central boma and splash pool.

The chalets are either double or twin-bedded, all ensuite and fully serviced. Family rooms can be prepared and there is no need to worry about infant facilities, they can be requested. The interiors are warmly decorated to create a relaxing and comfortable feel.

We are a fully catered lodge, serving early morning tea, coffee and rusks, midmorning brunch, afternoon snacks and a 3 course evening meal. All meals are prepared in traditional South African cuisine. Meals are enjoyed in the outside dining room and the evening meals around the fire under the star filled African skies. There is a separate lounge and bar with satellite television for guests to enjoy at their leisure.

You can enjoy informative early morning and afternoon game drives or walks with our experienced and qualified guide. You will encounter open grassland areas surrounded by broken broad-leafed woodland and plant communities inhabiting rocky outcrops. This all leads to a wonderful variety of game, bird and insect species. We have maps, so guests can either go mountain biking or walking in their own time.

One is also able to explore the wonderful surrounding area, within a reasonable distance from the lodge there is a working goat's cheese farm, a living rhino museum, elephant back rides, golf, horse riding and curio shops
