Half Day Township Tour (SC7)

To experience how the vast majority of South Africans live go and visit one of the buzzing townships. Every township has it own unique character. What they all have in common is vibrancy, hospitality and determination to improve.

Special tours are offered to the townships providing an excellent opportunity to interact with local communities and share in the rich African culture and traditional values. Experience unique township culinary delights, or try some home made brew in a smoke filled Shabeen while enjoying some township jazz.

Our first call is the colourful Bo-Kaap. Next the tour heads to Langa, the oldest existing formal township in the Western Cape. We will also visit Gugulethu township, and Khayelitsha, the largest informal settlement (shacks) where we will go to a "shebeen" (pub) to meet and interact with the local community. The Sunday a.m tour includes a visit to a church service in Langa.
