Marlu Farm Stays lies in the middle of the scenic Groot River Mountains in the malaria-free Karoo region of South Africa's Eastern Cape. The Groot River runs right through the farm.

Marlu Farm Stays provides a variety of accommodation options and activities. You can opt for camping, bed and breakfast or self-catering, according to your preference.

Conveniently located halfway between Steytlerville and Willowmore, only 7 km off the R329 (with easy access for sedan cars), and roughly equidistant from Port Elizabeth, Jeffreys Bay, Knysna, Oudtshoorn, Beaufort West and Graaff-Reinet, it is an ideal base from which to explore the attractions of the Baviaans region of the Karoo. Marlu Farm accommodation offers a self containing cottage, a flat attached to the House or rooms in the Farmstead.

The cottage consists of four bedrooms with altogether two double beds and five single beds as well as a cot. The lounge is comfortable and there is an indoor Braai area.

The Flat offers self catering or dinner, Bed and Breakfast and is perfect for small families wanting their privacy. Being a self-contained flat attached to the farm's homestead it offers either a self catering , dinner and bed and breakfast basis is your choice.

There are two bedrooms (one double and one twin), a bathroom with toilet and shower, a sitting room with TV and a fully equipped kitchen.

Farmstead with dinner bed and breakfast is well suited to single persons and smaller families who appreciate company. Stay with your hosts in the farmstead and enjoy Karoo hospitality and farm cuisine on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis Take your choice of two bedrooms sharing a bathroom. One has a double bed and a single bed, the other has two single beds.

We will gladly adapt the menu to suit your preferences as far as possible.

Marlu Farm also offers accommodation in the form of camping on the banks of the Groot River or in the veld or in the mountains providing you with the perfect get away from the city rat race and get back to nature.
