Punda Maria

In what is commonly referred to as the botanical garden of the Kruger National Park, in the most northern region, lies Punda Maria Camp. Due to the lush vegetation this enchanting region of Kruger is known as Bird's Heaven and is home to the commonly seen Nyala Antelope.

A sightings map at Punda Maria's reception is updated daily to track the whereabouts of the game. Punda Maria boasts an intriguing history and is well known for its superior safari accommodation.

The Punda Maria camp has accommodation ranging from air-conditioned cottages to bungalows and even offers camping and caravan sites.

Round huts with 3 beds, communal ablutions and kitchen.

2 or 3 bed AC bungalows with ablutions. Some kitchens provide hotplates and sinks. You have a choice of kitchenette or communal kitchen

6 bed cottages with 2 bathrooms, kitchen and dining room/lounge with a superb riverside views.

Punda Maria Safari Tents

2 or 4 bed tented accommodation in canvas, communal ablutions and cooking facilities with fridge provided.

Punda Maria Campsites

Sites for tents or caravans with power point, communal ablutions and cooking facilities are provided.

Sunrise bushwalks & sunset game drives can be organised with qualified rangers. Punda Maria offers magnificent bird watching opportunities.
