Manyane kamp
Dit was ons eerste keer by Manyane karavaankamp. Dit was met een woord heerlik. Die badkamers is baie skoon en netjies. Net jammer die swembad was nie 'n bietjie groter nie. Die winkel op die terrein bied jou meer as genoeg. Jy kan feitlik alles daar kry. Sal beslis weer gaan.

Wonderfull
It was a wonderfull experience to camp in Manyane. We were a group of 6 people and none of us had a complaine what so ever.
Thanks for keeping the place in such a good condition.
The only complain is the roads in the gamereserve.

Enjoyable Holiday
We had a very relaxing and refreshing holiday, despite the problem with the baboons. There should be a couple of people chasing the baboons away from the camp or other solutions. The baboons in the camp site were the only downside to the campsite. Everytime you left the campsite, you worried whether or not you would come back to a raided tent or if the tent would still be standing.

On the whole, Manyane camp was clean, friendly and we will be going back.

Lovely stay at Manyane
We had a few days at Manyane in October 2010 and really enjoyed the stay. Staff were friendly, our chalet was very neat. Only thing is that I feel the accommodation was too expensive for what it was. Bit small. Otherwise - saw a lot of animals at close range and really enjoyed our stay. Breakfast was superb with such a lot of variety. Will recommend.

Manyane Resort 1 night stay
This resort was reasonably priced and that was the main factor in my booking it for a trip into Pilanesburg. Pricing on the other resorts at the reserve was ridiculous and we would've gone into Rustenberg or just done a day trip if we had not found Manyane. The grounds were very nice, the room just fine. Service at the restaurant for dinner was very slow, we almost got up and left but then you are pretty much "stuck" with the distance to next available place! We did have to get up for our 2nd drinks. Reception was efficient and friendly.
When making reservations I did email first - no response for a day, but when I called - I was taken care of. Also a bit of confusion when we pulled the resort name up online for maps, it pulled an address in Rustenberg! Caused some confusion and concern on our part so if there's a way to fix this, I would. We almost cancelled our reservation thinking the Manyane was in Rustenberg and not at the game reserve.
Overall we would recommend it to others and the location - perfect!

Short stay
Our experience was positive. At short notice we were able to book two small two bed chalets. The Chalets were not luqury but adequate for a one or two night stay. The service was very friendly and professional. We were pleasantly supprised with the menue and quality of the spread. We booked in for DB&B and it was worth it. No TV remote was a slight frustration but who needs TV in a game park?

Negatives in a great resort.
Baboons and Monkeys are going to have to be dealt with. Tourism interest and money is what supports conservation. Baboons & monkeys get into tents (without a sewn in groundsheet) and search for food, despite all food being locked away in a trailer.
This detracts from an otherwise excellent resort and game reserve experience.

Camping at Manyane

Good service!
We enjoyed a very pleasant evening stay on 26/4/2010. Maybe the bathroom could be improved by way of more pressure in the water and the slant in the shower. Although the accommodation was rather expensive at R2,400 per night, we enjoyed the breakfast.
General standard of service was excellent, as was friendliness of staff. The loft could also do with a little more privacy.

Manyane Caravan Sites
The facilities are very good and well maintained. We arrived at 17:30 and all the stands were taken. In the end we found the stand next to the shop open, I think it is stand number 14. The stand was fine but the paper thorns on the ground surface were very uncomfortable. We enjoyed our stay and will book again.

Kind Regards.

Manyane Pilanesberg
Game reserve and viewing great. Stay at Manyane no so. Firstly they had doubled booked our Chalet so had to take 2 chalets 3 units apart after specifying the need to have 2 together. 4 sleeper chalet very small. upstairs room very small and cramped and stairs very very steep. ( dangerously so ) if you sit around built in table the fridge becomes inaccessible. If the unit door is open it covers the oven completely. if cooking door has to be closed. Cupboards above table very difficult to reach if you are of average height. Shower small and when in use floods the bathroom completely. breakfast buffet very good but if you order from dinner menu, very dissappointing. Sun dried tomatoe and pesto is in fact tomatoe and onion sauce ( i guess left over from breakfast )prawn cocktail starter R85-00 for 6 medium shelled prawns on a bed of lettuce????? etc etc. I'm guessing the bigger units would be fine but the 4 sleeper way to small.

Mr
Me and my family of ten had a thoroughly enjoyable time in Pilanesberg - just too short.
I think you should arrange with the Big Man upstairs to have continuous sunshine. It was rather wet during our stay !!

Manyane Camping
Overall very nice.

The one shower in ablution Block C is not working. Just a trickle of water. This you find out after having undressed.
The waterpoint nearest to stand no: 84 is smelling terrible.

Disabled Persons
Found the accommodation not fit for a disables person,
eg: no separate shower, and very difficult to transfer disabled person from the car to chalet.
The worst -- no water from Saturday night until we booked out on Sunday morning.
For the price we paid, this is totally unacceptable.
I will not recommend Manyane to anyone at this stage.
Must give credit to friendly staff and good food.

Camping at Manyane
We enjoyed our 7 day camping holiday at Manyane from 1 Feb till 8 Feb.The staff are all very friendly and helpfull and the food at the the rest was very good. However, the conditions of the ablution blocks were not that good at all.The shower door in the small abbution block cannot close, the toilet door cannot lock and the light in the shower was not working and was not repaired in spite of numerous requests to have it fixed.I was told that it would be reported to maintenance but nothing happened.

Enjoyed our stay
The accommodation was clean and tidy upon arrival and serviced adequately on a daily basis. The breakfast was very good and we enjoyed a morning game drive and an evening game drive. The game ranger was very informative, helpful and obliging. The pool was clean and warm. The kitchen at the chalet was well stocked with a microwave, stove (including an oven), fridge and small freezer. I am not sure if due to the heat or lower voltage, the fridge did not perform as well as hoped. Food took a long time to get cold inside the fridge. This is about the only thing I have a complaint about - though not a serious complaint!

Many thanks

Park visit
The accommodation - executive tents - was in keeping with an animal park visit yet surprisingly comfortable - beds, electricity and a fridge, individual barbecue facility. Ablution block (showers, sinks, toilets) was clean and practical. Restaurant food was pretty basic and quality was not great, wait staff ranged from the very good to the somewhat clueless. Walking trails in and from the camp were not well marked and hard to find. Park access fee was very good value.

Ons het in 'n 2bed chalet gebly en was tevrede. Sal daarvan hou as daar 'n mikrogolfoond, 'n opwasbak en nog meer kombuisware soos 'n 2plaat stoof en meer breekware beskikbaar kan wees. Wil nie heeltyd in restaurant eet nie. Verder was die verblyf en diens baie goed gewees

With friendly staff and excelent service, I could not have asked for a better place to spend a break from the busy life. For the nature enthusiast it is a definate must. The roads are good and most of the reserve can easily be accessed without having to worry about your car and the terrain. The bird life is exeptional as well and with a litle bit of time more than 60 diffirent species of birds can be seen in and around Manyane.

We had a fantastic time at the resort. We have stayed there many times over the last 15 years but this was the first time that we used the Exec tents. They are located in a lovely quiet spot, with great views and very good facilities. There is plenty of room in the tents and the outdoor furniture is sturdy.
The staff were very friendly and efficient. I thought that the area around the big pool looked unkempt and it seems a shame that this is not developed, as it is in a stunning location and has great potential.

The chalet was pleasant and well equipped but the upper bedroom much too small. Obviously meant only for small children and not two couples. The bedding was far too heavy for summer.
Restaurant was well run, good service and food. Chef needs to make a better job of the meat dishes, though.
So much better to buy one permit for the Game Park for the entire stay instead of having to stop at the gate every time. Cost of Game Drive exhorbitant!!

Manyane is great
We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 nights camping at Manyane. From check-in to departure the staff were welcoming and helpful, the ablutions were clean and well provisioned. The caravan site was a good size. One slight complaint was the distance to the nearest electricity box but I made a plan by taking power from an unoccupied Safari Tent site.

Pilansberg Reserve is in very good condition and teaming with game. We had our best game sightings in a long time.

Al in all a very pleasant weekend, and one we will be repeating.

Complaints and Compliments
We stayed in chalets at Bukgatla: The chalet was acceptable re the costing and the food B&D was also: the Park was perfect and the staff serving food and cleaning were excellent. my complaint is whilst booking not only was there no one to give informed info about the accommodation we were also miss informed and in fact the website and even the price list and brochure are just as miss leading. We were told that there is no self catering chalets we must eat in the restaurants, we could choose B&B or DB&B and that there would be a shop YET on arrival the chalet was equipped as fully self service which we would have preferred although we didn't cater for any food or drink and the superette has almost nothing in it..
