Egweni

Egweni, meaning "place of the Vaal River" in the indigenous Zulu Tongue, is situated in the beautiful town of Parys. As the name describes Egweni is along the banks of the mighty Vaal River. Egweni has friendly owners, a warm atmosphere and fresh flowers, your warm welcome awaits you. Egweni is the ideal breakaway weekend venue or stopover on business trips.

EGWENI is a farm-style, architecturally designed Bed and Breakfast establishment.

It provides luxury, stylish accommodation, which presently consists of 5 double rooms, 2 single rooms and a family/self-catering unit. Each unit is an individually decorated luxury suite, all furnished and decorated with your comfort in mind.

The tasteful décor, good service and its view over the beautiful Vaal River with its breathtaking rapids, creates a relaxed ambience in which you can completely unwind.

It also offers standard accommodation, which consists of 2 double rooms and 1 family/self-catering unit. These units have not yet been upgraded in the new style, but the rooms have been re-painted, have new beds and linen. The bathrooms are however still older and only have a bath.

Egweni's natural beauty is complemented by 4 state-of-the-art conference facilities. These 4 conference rooms can comfortably accommodate groups from 6 - 70 delegates in various seating configurations.

Since January 2006 Egweni has also been catering for weddings. The banqueting hall can accommodate weddings for up to 130 guests when including a dance floor and up to 150 guest without a dance floor.
