North Riding
Johannesburg is indeed one of Africa’s finest cities and a premier world destination to boot. Nicknamed the ‘city of gold’ because of the gold rush of the 1880s, Johannesburg has lived up to its moniker through continuous development and sustained efficiency. While North Riding is known for its almost country-type atmosphere, there has been a fair bit of development in the area and now there are new modern homes as well as a charming assortment of coffee shops, small businesses, and gourmet eateries. North Riding also finds itself in close proximity to the Cradle of Humankind, the Randburg CBD, and Montecasino.
