The affluent suburb of Morningside, just outside of Sandton, lies on Rivonia Road in the heart of Jo’burg’s northern suburbs, but manages to retain its tranquil environment and is free of the congestion of the city’s infamous traffic.
Morningside is leafy and decadent, with many security townhouse complexes and grand homes, which are mainly sought-after by those that prefer to work in the financial district of Sandton. But while Morningside has its own penchant for high living, it is also home to the magnificent Outspan Bird Sanctuary, which features a stunning assortment of local bird species located on nearly two acres of beautiful terrain. The Village Walk shopping centre is a wonderful alternative to the shopping paradise of Sandton City and provides a charming array of eateries, shops, and coffee bistros.
