Thakadu River Camp

Thakadu River Camp is set within the riverine canopy on the Marico on the eastern side of Madikwe and is a community owned tented camp.

The 12 tented suites accommodating 24 people each with sliding doors opening onto a private viewing deck over looking the river are decorated in an 'Afro-Asian Safari" feel with the use of natural stone in the main lodge.

There is also an 8 bed satellite camp - Little Thakadu - with its own private lounge, dining and pool area ensuring privacy and exclusivity for small groups and families.

Thakadu is part of an eco-tourism partnership between the reserve, the Madikwe Collection and the Molatedi Community and has a proud and vibrant atmosphere.
