Deep in the heart of the rugged bushveld on the far North border of Southern Africa, in the midst of the marvelous Madikwe Game Reserve, lies an oasis of hospitality and tranquility, Tau Game lodge.

This spectacular privately owned luxury safari lodge was established in 1995 overlooking a beautiful natural waterhole, that attracts an abundant of varied wildlife. Tau Game Lodge, "The Place of the Majestic Lion" has been designed to enhance and reflect the beauty of the natural surroundings, by making use of the resources of nature as much as possible.

Thirty beautifully decorated air-conditioned rustic thatched chalets, furnished with the theme of Africa are uniquely built in a U-formation on both sides of the lodge, providing the most excellent views of the game approaching the waterhole. Each of the en-suite chalet's has its own private wooden deck for tranquil game viewing, allowing the guests complete privacy when experience the serenity of the bush and for those wanting to shower in the crispness of the outdoors, there are open-air showers provided. Appreciate the beauty of nature and the wildness of Africa right on your doorstep as you luxuriate in our comfortable accommodation.

The main area of our African Game Lodge is two-tiered and provides a comfortable lounge, a great conference room, a delightful bar and dining room overlooking the waterhole. Delicious mouth watering buffet breakfasts & lunches are usually served in the main dining room or out in the fresh air on the lovely verandah next to our refreshing plunge pool. Dinner can be enjoyed in one of the charming boma's under a blanket of stars or next to the main lodge, in the lapa.

Thrilling early morning and late afternoon / evening game drives in great open landrovers with powerful spotlights as well as guided safari hikes are the main attractions at Tau Game Lodge.
