Lanseria
The city of Johannesburg is one of Africa’s finest cities. Pulsing with excitement and constantly on the move, ‘the city of gold’ is infused with various influences guaranteeing that visitors can expect an eclectic, yet extremely enjoyable experience. On top of being South Africa’s commercial and economic hub, Jozi also has a very central location, giving travellers easy access to the cities of Pretoria in the north, Durban in KZN and iconic South African landmarks including Sun City, the Kruger National Park, and the Pilanesberg Nature Reserve.

On the outskirts of Randburg – one of Jozi’s premier suburbs – is the town of Lanseria. Lanseria is mainly known for its airport, the 2nd one in the city. While it is far smaller than the main airport of OR Tambo International, Lanseria has become a favoured travelling option amongst business people because of its relatively short check-in time of just 25 minutes. As it had been earmarked to be an international terminal 30 years ago, Lanseria Airport is no longer just a sometimes point of departure and arrival, but a fully fledged connection to other cities in the country.
Thanks to the upgrading and reviving of industry in the region, Lanseria finds itself in a prime real estate area having the likes of Midrand, Fourways, and Randburg, as its closest neighbours and is just 20 minutes away from affluent Sandton. Popular pastimes to enjoy include hot air ballooning, and game viewing at the likes of the crocodile park, De Wildt Cheetah Farm, and the Oori Nature Reserve.
