Sunrock Guesthouse Reviews

Sunrock Guesthouse
Dealing with the owners of Sunrock Guesthouse (Johannesburg) via e-mail prior to arrival, and throughout our actual stay, the experience was admittedly wonderful. The owners were very amiable and accomodating. My 16 yr old daughter and I felt safe and welcome.
The room was large and comfortable and after we returned from our safari in Kruger, it felt like we were back at our "home away from home."
The supper meals (in the backyard "lapa" with other guests) were fabulous! BBQ is their speciality and the steak especially was mouth-watering. The included breakfasts were filling and tasty--so much so, that we were never hungry for lunch.
They booked a tour for us to visit Johannesburg, Soweto and the Apartheid Museum (450 Rand per person). Ina drove us and returned to pick us up at the East Rand Mall one afternoon (50 Rand). This was all so convenient and stress-free! Plus the owners shuttled us back and forth to the airport a few times
--all part of the inclusive service.
We were allowed access to the computer, had a package stamped and taken to the post office, and one of our suitcases stored while we were on safari--no extra charge.
This is where I will stay on future trips to South Africa. My daughter and I felt like valued guests and were able to relax and enjoy our visit to J'burg. I would recommend this guesthouse to singles, families or couples as the owners cater to their guests to ensure that individual needs are met.
