Amongst these suburbs is the leafy hideaway of Kelvin. Kelvin is one of Jozi’s best-kept secrets and is a very nice change of pace away from the busier and more congested areas of the city.
Kelvin, despite its peaceful ambience, has one of the easiest and more accessible routes to get into the CBD and also to the likes of Pretoria, which is further north. It is in close proximity to iconic Sandton, giving visitors the convenience of exploring the likes Sandton City and Nelson Mandela Square. One of the more popular activities to enjoy around the Kelvin area is the Rooftop Market at Rosebank Mall. Regarded as the best flea market in the country, the Rooftop Market has over 500 stalls of clothing, arts and crafts, ceramic creations, and antiques.
