The Oxwagon Lodge

Guests will experience unique pioneer accommodation in original restored Oxwagons, at The Oxwagon Lodge. Six authentic and lovingly restored ox wagon chalets with private bathrooms mimic the tradition and history of the South African pioneers of yesteryear. Each wagon feature a double bed and two single beds in the accompanied thatched chalet and there are also a Family Wagon available which sleeps up to six guests. The Romantic Wagon features a double bed and is perfect for the honeymoon couple. After a cup of complimentary coffee / tea, cuddle up in the luxurious linens and enjoy an unforgettable sleeping experience in the extraordinary accommodation of The Ring Oxwagon Lodge.

There is also a converted double decker bus, offering accommodation for up to 16 guests, and shared ablution facilities.

Guests of The Oxwagon Lodge can feast their taste buds on the generous traditional inclusive breakfast served in the Wagon Deck Restaurant. Enjoy a barbecue in the open lapa area or have a splendid picnic at the Fever Terrace. The picnic baskets are packed individually to guest requirements and should therefore be pre-booked. Stunning panoramic views of the Hartbeespoort Dam and the mountains can be seen from these entertainment areas. After a long hike on the meandering on-site nature trail, guests can order a refreshing drink from the bar and cool off in the lovely splash pool.
