Gracious authentic French and English antique furniture blends with local crafted furniture of wood, rattan, and iron, radiating a strong and warm ambiance. The charming farmhouse is steeped in history, built in 1852, and has retained most of its original features such as a well, an old Dutch oven, sash windows, wooden shutters, high ceilings, and courtyard surrounded by pretty flowering plants. The main house, barn and stables have been lovingly and compassionately restored. The stylish barn with ceiling fans is elegantly furnished for dining or for relaxing and reading next to the two gigantic fireplaces. Breakfast is a real treat with juicy fresh fruits, muesli with honey and yoghurt, and finished off with fried and cooked foods, marmalade, toast, and choice of coffee or tea.
Lush indigenous flowering plants like day lilies and agapanthus, from the nursery on the premises, transforms the garden into a serene and idyllic haven and is a wonderful setting to host a romantic special wedding. An extended veranda and cabana sits on the edge of the stream, a wonderful site to enjoy the afternoon treats, watch the rich bird life, and take in the breathtaking sunset views.
