Jay's Boma Hideaway

Jay's Boma is a rustic stone and raw wood building very close to the lake, hidden in a forested part of the old Kosmos village on a raised plateau, which ensures absolute privacy while still providing you with a great view of the Hartbeespoort dam.

Accommodation consists of a separate flat attached to the main house, with its own private entrance. One master bedroom, furnished with a queen-size bed and one large party-room, with four single beds. (Two are built-in bunk beds) One bathroom with a vast shower in rustic stone.

A huge fireplace, a massive bar-counter which opens up on an outside braai area. As well as a fully equipped kitchenette with stove oven and utensils for eight people. Coffee tea and rusks are supplied.

Jay's Boma also have a private picnic area and boathouse on the water only some 70 meters away where you can braai and enjoy water sport, launch canoes, fish or just relax next to the lake.

There is a TV in the bar which will ensure that you won't miss any sport or other of your favourite programs.

The village of Kosmos has a variety of things to do, amongst others there is an exclusive picnic and braai area on the shore with a landing area for boats for Jay's Boma guests (no boat provided - but boat trips can be arranged) There is a nature trail along the water's edge of 3-4 Km which is very popular with birdwatchers joggers etc. The Kosmos marina club welcomes visitors, and boats can be launched from their premises.

Several artists have galleries which are open most weekends.

The Magaliesberg Mountains have numerous hiking trails which can be explored. A number of restaurants are in close proximity and the Harbour Café down the road in the Caribbean Beach Club offers a great breakfast if you don't want to make your own.

There are four golf courses are close by (Sandy Lane, Pecanwood, Magalies Park and the new development Seasons, on the old Brits Golf course.)

Lanseria Airport is only 40 Km away, but should you wish to fly in, in your own private light plane, Aviators Paradise is only 10 minutes away and we can collect you from there.
