Caledon Gardens is a romantic country retreat situated in the unspoilt Caledon Valley, next to the Royal Maluti Golf & Country Club, in the magnificent Eastern Free State Highlands.Our food is prepared with passion using only finest and freshest ingredients. We serve organic vegetables grown here on the farm which are picked daily to make certain you have only the best vegetables.

Our chips are fresh hand cut potatoes to ensure a "crispy French fry". We source only the freshest and best quality meat and fish. Home-made sauces and pesto's are made from using the best and freshest ingredients. Our pasta dishes are all made with home-made pastas made the real Italian way. We strive to bring you satisfaction in enjoying our food. We cater for simplicity but with exceptional taste. We have in the restaurant a collection of thirteen van Gogh reproductions on canvas in the original size. Sandstone sculptures are placed in the restaurant and in the garden. Leonetto Cappiello (1875-1942) was an Italian poster art designer who lived in Paris. He started as a caricaturist illustrating in journals like Le Rire, Le Cri de Paris, Le Sourire, L'Assiette au Beurre, La Baionnette, Femina, and others. Cappiello made his name during the poster boom period (c. 1900), with designs similar to those of Jules Chéret. He redesigned the fin-de-siècle pictures into images more relevant to the faster pace of the 20th century and after WW1 Cappiello abandoned caricature illustration and exclusively devoted himself to the production of posters. Some of his famous posters include Parapluie-Revel.
