If you need refuge away from the crowds and noise, Dunkeld West has easy access to one of the city’s foremost nature attractions the Johannesburg Zoo. The Johannesburg Zoo is one of the finest such facilities in South Africa and is a terrific location for kids and adults alike; the zoo is over 100 years old and is home to a mesmerizing reptile enclosure and also offers riveting night time drives where patrons can see the likes of nocturnal cats, bats, and owls.
